FIBO 2008: Rapport, pictures and interviews
(Rapport from Saturday the 12th. of April 2008) English
We arrived at the Essen Exhibition center, the holding place for the FIBO expo 2008, at around 9 a clock Saturday morning. There we got our press cards and MuscleInside t-shirts, so we could begin our rapports from the FIBO, for you guys here on the site.
The FIBO expo was packed with people/bodybuilding and fitness fans from all over Europe.
Machines, fitness equipment, workout clothes, supplements and top athletes from the industry were to be found throughout the whole day. The expo was 20% bigger than last year and many new top companies had also chosen to have booths at the FIBO this year. Companies like; BSN, MET-RX and ALL AMERICAN EFX.
Besides all the small showings and events at the many booths, the stage show also delivered a great deal of entertainment. The posing routines and the strongman competitions on stage were well put together and very entertaining. MuscleInside got it all on tape and pictures. We made several interviews with top athletes throughout the day, American as well as German and Danish athletes. We interviewed; Ronnie Coleman, Phil Heath, Markus Rühl, Kim Kold, James Flex Levis, Mario Rieger, last years Loaded Cup winner Robert Piotkowicz and many more.
8 time Mr. Olympia, Ronnie Coleman presented himself well on stage and in our interview he told us that we will see him on stage again in 2009, but he haven’t decided which shows he wanted to enter yet. The Champ will be back : ) Robert Piotkowicz was ready for the Loaded Cup 2008 and he told that he of course was aiming to retain his Loaded Cup title from last year. Robert was in amazing shape. He is one of the top amateurs in the world at the moment and I think he will be hard to beat at Loaded Cup. Germanys own Markus Rühl was really cool and down to earth and he told us that he would never say never to eventually compete again. Phil Heath is in my eyes the best and most complete pro bodybuilder at the moment and after meeting him in real life, I am not in doubt at all the he will become a future Mr. Olympia within the next five years. Phil is also a really nice and humble guy and he had a right attitude towards many things.

Vi ankom til FIBO messens afholdelses sted, Essen Exhibition centret ved 9 tiden lørdag formiddag. Der fik vi vores presse-kort og MuscleInside t-shirts, så vi kunne komme til at lave noget godt rapportage arbejde for jer her på siden.
FIBO messen var pakket med mennesker/bodybuilding og fitness fans fra hele Europa. Maskiner, fitness udstyr, træningstøj, kosttilskuds produkter og top atleter fra branchen var at finde dagen lang. Messen var 20 % større end forrige år og mange nye top firmaer havde også valgt at have standere til FIBO i år; så som; BSN; MET-RX og All American EFX.
Ved siden af de små shows fra atleterne i de mange boder, leverede scene showene også et brag af underholdning. Poseringsrutinerne og stærkmands konkurrencerne på scenen var vel komponeret og meget underholdende. MuscleInside fik optaget alt sammen på film og i billeder. Vi fik lavet utallige interviews af top atleter i løbet af dagen, amerikanske så vel som tyske og danske atleter. Heriblandt kan nævnes; Ronnie Coleman, Phil Heath, Markus Rühl, Kim Kold, James Flex Levis, Mario Rieger, sidste års Loaded Cup vinder Robert Piotkowicz og mange flere. 8 gange Mr. Olympia, Ronnie Coleman klarede sig godt på scenen og sagde i vores interview, at vi ville se ham på scenen igen i 2009, men han havde ikke helt bestemt sig for hvilke shows han vil stille i endnu, The Champ will be back : ). Robert Piotkowicz var klar til Loaded Cup 2008 og gik selvfølgelig efter at bevare Loaded Cup titlen fra sidste år. Robert var i kanon form, han er en af de bedste top amatør atleter i verden i øjeblikket og jeg tror han bliver svær at slå til Loaded. Tysklands egen Markus Ruhl var cool, helt nede på jorden og han fortalte os at han aldrig vil sige aldrig til eventuelt at konkurrere igen. Phil Heath er i mine øjne den mest komplette bodybuilder på nuværende tidspunkt og efter at set ham ’in real life’ er jeg ikke et sekund i tvivl om at han kan gå hen og blive en kommende Mr. Olympia indenfor de næste fem år. Phil er også kæmpe flink og havde en rigtig attitude/holdning til mange ting.
